I come from an entrepreneurial family and I naturally gravitate towards good food, so as early as high school, I started baking pastries which my classmates gladly bought. It was a nice feeling…I was most fulfilled when the food that I baked/cooked made others happy. It was a small beginning, but that’s where my love for the food business began. I then decided to carve out a career in this industry.
How many restaurants are you running now?
Roughly 20. There’s Florabel at Estancia Mall, 7 Crisostomo’s, Corazon at Shangri-la Mall, 2 Elias’, Felix at Greenbelt, Sisa’s Secret, Market on 5th Avenue at St. Lukes Fort, Cafeteria by Chef Florabel at Asian Hospital, Johnny Chow, Mr. Franks Hotdogs and Nachos Co, Plus we’re making something new, Happy Potato, a lot like Mr. Franks but a party food cart concept.
